Fourth-grade students conducted research on a variety of fascinating and unique creatures last week and created dioramas to represent their habitats. Some of the species studied included the flying fox bat, red-lipped batfish, blobfish, roundworms, tapeworms, Goliath bird-eating spider, and the blood-squirting lizard. Outstanding projects were recognized for their quality and creativity. First place was awarded to Sam Mallot for the Peregrine Falcon diorama. Second place went to Macie Hayes for the Secretary Bird, and third place was earned by Lillian Vintges for the Rosy Maple Moth. Students greatly enjoyed the opportunity to explore and learn about these unusual creatures through hands-on research and creative presentation.
